I was in the cafe today, with some of my team members, when we noticed a transsexual, talking to some of his team mates and waiting for a coffee. Immediately, some of my team members started an animated discussion on how the transsexuals behave and how they should learn to dress more decently. For all I know, this guy was perfectly dressed, with a cool shirt and trousers, his hair straightened and colored. Except his walk and build (he was far too thin for his own good), everything was absolutely normal about him.
What disgusted me more was that these people even went to the extent to going quite close to him (under the pretext of dumping the tea cups in the trash can) and observing if he was a guy (as one of them had a doubt - if the person was a female). And then the conversation continued till they reached their desks.
I am sure that guy must have seen so much more of all this, but such educated people working in a corporate, with the tags of so-called software engineers do not know how to behave. It is indeed sad to note that, these people, who talk so much about the ills of the society, themselves do not know how to behave.
As one my friends rightly pointed out, some of them do not know basic courtesy and manners. And as much as they have matured physically, their attitude has a long way to go in terms of maturity and social ethics. *Sigh*
