The Four Fountains Spa

I had been wanting to take a massage for a very long time, never found the right place. Now, this ad of Four Fountains was extremely catchy, and they claimed that their rates were affordable (now that s a subjective term...anyway....). So, as I always do, first checked out their website. Impressive stuff - and yeah, unlike lotsa other spas and salons, these guys had the prices mentioned in their website. (and that included the taxes :-))

I called them to get an appointment one Friday, and went there straight after work. Their USP - individual shower enclosures with hot and cold water showers in each therapy room & disposable undergarments. Now that s something that I never expected, so as always, I had carried spare. They sure impressed me with the level of service.

They started on time and finished on time too. The shower enclosures also contained liquid body wash and hair wash and were paved with a non-slippery floor.

Started by a bunch of IIM graduates, they sure seem to have struck the right chord. On weekdays they offer you a discount of Rs.100 which makes the price truly affordable - Rs 599 for a 60 min massage session is worth it. Their facial menu seemed a bit pricey, but I cant judge the cost without taking a session yet.

So for all you tired souls (er.. bodies).. take a trip to Four Fountains at Lane #5, Koregaon Park or their branch at Aundh.

Something to write home about....

Finally, this weekend, I do have something to write about....

a. Had an awesome Invigorating Swedish Massage at the Four Fountains Spa on Friday. A pleasing environment, with individual shower enclosures in each room, it is a must have experience for every Pune-ite. For a mere 599 (they offer a Rs.100 discount on weekdays), the experience is very good. (this wil be a separate article by itself - a little later though)

b. Saw Aamir (not Aamir Khan... ), the movie, yesterday. A different effort, a perfect launch for Rajeev Khandelwal. A 90 min movie that tackles terrorism in a never before treated angle. Good job...

c. Made some simply mindblowing poondu inji pudina rasam today. And went to Shoppers Stop to satisfy the shopping craving and then to Naturals to satisfy the craving for their Choco-bite on waffle cone.

On the whole, a very satisfying weekend....Gearing for the week ahead....
